3 Things You Need To Know
Expect the Unexpected
This summer, we started off our European vacation in Iceland, not by design, but due to an unexpected flight delay. This resulted in our traveling to and from a local hotel that our airline reserved for us. As you can see in the photo above, the skies were quite grey and even though it was late June, the weather a bit cooler than we expected when we first packed for our 7-day Mediterranean Cruise.
Make the Most of Your Time
Despite the "blah" vibe that emanated from this dreary land, it turned out to be the perfect respite for us. Our scheduled arrival was intended to take us to London where after a 3-hour drive (on the opposite side of the road/highway) we were to meet up with family for a visit. Had we not had this necessary delay, we would've arrived thoroughly exhausted and jet-lagged to the hilt! Instead, we experienced a new country, acquired some Toffee & Sea Salt chocolate to die for and explored as a family this new region while "staying awake" on our own timetable.

Turn Your Challenges into Triumphs
Similar to our Icelandic adventure, homeschooling is an adventure of its own, complete with its unexpected turns and oftentimes, its own delays. As teachers of our children, we make adjustments to suit our families. In doing this, we often discover pleasant surprises along the way and we learn to pull together as we journey together.
