Friendly Advice

I asked an experienced HS Mom about how to maintain the "Love of Learning" in our homeschooling. She told me about how she used to want that "Love of Learning" and how it's almost a myth. She offered that while her children, "...have active minds and want to know about the world around them, it's sometimes the discipline of learning that they object to during the day. So while they love learning, they don't necessarily love the discipline of learning. And, that's where we come in as teachers of them.
